If you know me, you know my love for Premiere protein. Anytime it goes on sale at Costco, I’m stocking up. It tastes good, it packs 30 grams of protein in one drink and its so handy to grab and go. Lately I’ve had a lot of requests for easy make ahead breakfast ideas so I tested out a twist on the standard overnight oats…by swapping the unsweetened almond milk or whatever milk you were using with a Premiere protein and the end result was delicious.
Overnight oats are handy because they are what they say, you can make the night before and grab on your way out the door that morning. They’re easy to make because you simply mix everything in a jar, put a lid on it and store in the fridge overnight until you’re wanting to eat it (you can make as many as you need to last you for the week, easy peasy breakfast is my jam).
They’re also a big hit because you can change up the flavor by using different spices, different protein powders, different add ins BUT for this blog specifically, I wanted the easiest and least complicated recipe for those of you who don’t want to put in the work. Here is what you need:
- 1 Premiere protein drink ( You can find these at pretty much any major grocer store but buying the case at Costco is the most cost effective). They come in all sorts of flavors: Vanilla, caramel, chocolate, cookies and cream and peach are ones I’ve tried and liked. I stuck with vanilla for this incase you want to add different toppings to yours.
- 1.5 oz of plain greek yogurt (You could probably even skip this part if you don’t like a little tang to your oats)
- 1/2 cup(48 grams) Old Fashioned rolled oats
- 1 TBL (13 grams) chia seeds
- Cinnamon for flavor
Mix all things together in mason jar, stir well and then put the lid on and store in fridge overnight. When you’re ready to eat the next day, there is no other prep! Just shake and enjoy! I personally prefer my oats a little on the creamier side, not overly thick.Ya know, the consistency I can still eat with a spoon and isn’t overly runny but also took a couple sips towards the bottom of my jar. By using the entire premiere protein, I got the consistency I like. If you like your oats super thick, I would consider using 3/4 of a premier protein.

You can use different spices such as pumpkin pie spice and cocoa to change the flavor and you can also slice bananas or your favorite fruit as a topping. I liked my plain with the little cinnamon the best!
