What led you to flexible eating/Flex Fuel?:
A good friend of mine had lost a considerable amount of weight, which led me to ask her how she did it. That is when she introduced me to Katy, and the Macro Diet.
What do you do to stay active?:
I enjoy staying active for most of the week. I enjoy hiking in the morning as well as golfing during the week.
What has been your biggest challenge through this process so far and how did you overcome it?
The biggest challenge is counting your calories/weighing your food. However, once you do it for a couple weeks you start enjoying it and it gets easier. As with anything new, you just have to stick with it and it soon becomes part of your day to day program.
What has been your biggest success through this process so far?
Learning to trust the process. You feel as if you are eating more than you should, but if you accept it and trust it, you will see the results.
Why do you like most about the flexible eating process?
I like that you don’t have restrictions and that you can eat anything as long as you stick within your Macros. I highly recommend that you plan your meals on those weekends that you plan on going out with friends. If you plan ahead you will be successful.
What is your favorite treat to fit into your macros?
I love a good cheeseburger, so if I can hold back on the carbs for the day until I have that cheeseburger, then I will still stay within my macros.
What do you like most about having a nutrition coach?
Having a nutrition coach like Katy was so beneficial. It’s nice to have someone check in with you weekly to see if you are heading in the right direction or not. Her positive attitude and wealth of knowledge when it comes to this lifestyle is huge!
Would you recommend others to Flex Fuel and why?
Absolutely! I think it is so important to have a nutritional coach when you are first starting off and Katy knows exactly what she is doing! Make sure to follow Flex Fuel on Instagram as well, as they have great material on motivation and meals! Katy and Mallory will not disappoint!
